PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZING & PLAY SPACE DESIGN FOR HOMES & BUSINESSES

Tidy Spaces, Happy Faces.

What We Create

Space to Play designs small, thoughtfully curated play environments that feel inviting for children, and easy for adults.
Each setup is built around open-ended, low-mess materials that encourage independent play without overwhelming the environment.

Whether you’re creating a space for your customers or your own family, the goal is the same: a place where children feel engaged, and everyone else feels at ease.

Our Services

For Businesses

We partner with cafés, wineries, and hospitality spaces to create family-friendly environments that enhance the customer experience. Our play spaces:

  • Keep children engaged so parents can relax, stay longer, and spend more

  • Create a family-friendly experience without adding work for your staff

  • Provide a clean, cohesive play space with ongoing care and seasonal refreshes included

It’s a simple way to create a welcoming, family-friendly experience — helping guests stay longer and come back more often.

Imagine families coming back to your business time and again, raving about what a warm, welcoming, family friendly space you have.

For Families

Together, we create play spaces in your home that offer:

  • Calm, engaging play spaces children can return to again and again.

  • Open-ended, screen-free activities that encourage imagination and independent play

  • Thoughtfully designed environments where children settle in — and parents can exhale.

By our last session, you will find it easier to clean up with your kiddos, leaving bedrooms, living rooms and play areas company- ready in under ten minutes, even on the busiest days. Kid spaces at your place of business will be neat, tidy and welcoming for guests each time they visit.

Our focus is on helping both families and businesses declutter and organize spaces for kids including play rooms, living rooms, kids bedrooms and outdoor play spaces. Our goal is for you to have aesthetically pleasing play spaces that function well for the whole family. Spaces that are easy to clean up, keep organized and most importantly, fun to play in.  We provide solutions tailored to your space, your children and your personal preferences. We will work together to come up with solutions to edit your tornado of kid stuff, maximize playable space, and make it easy to keep tidy.

Allow us to help you calm the chaos, reclaim your space and your peace of mind. The Space to Play team will work with you to organize your space and teach you skills to have your kids help you keep it that way!

The Space to Play Family Pathway

  •  At our virtual introductory meeting, we will:

    •  analyze your current layout

    • discuss your and your children’s needs and preferences

    • outline any tasks for you to tackle before our first organizing session

We will get to know each other, discuss your goals and preferred outcomes, and take a small  tour of the spaces you wish to organize and come up with a strategy together. At that time we will discuss how many sessions we think it may take to achieve your goals. We promise that all sessions are tailored to your specific needs. Intro sessions are offered virtually through Google Meet and generally last 30 minutes.

 FAQs

  • Our minimum rate is $350, which includes an introductory consultation, and a three hour organizing session which is enough time to complete one small play space and get you started on your organizing journey. Returning clients can take advantage of our ‘refresh package” for 1.5 hours of maintenance for any space we have tackled before for $150.

  • That completely depends on both your space and capacity. Most  backyard play areas can be completed in around 4 hours, kids rooms in 4- 6 hours, and living rooms in 6-10. Garages tend to take 10 hours or more, with any crowded, filled up areas taking longer.

  • I have been decluttering my whole life. Living in 38 homes in 30 years, I had a LOT of chances to clean, declutter and reorganize with each move. Over time I learned to love the process, and especially the results. I started my business in 2025, after 8 years of market research and years of providing free organizing services to friends and family. Over time I noticed that it wasn't the closet reorganizations, the bathroom and kitchen redos or the garage makeovers that bought me the most satisfaction. What I truly love is knowing I am making a difference in your family's quality of life. My absolute favorite way to help your family is to help you edit the chaos of kid stuff, organize it and leave you with a delightful place to play, everyday.

  • I have over 29 years of experience in outdoor education and especially love helping you set up outdoor play spaces filled with enriching, open-ended play materials that will keep your children occupied for hours at a time, freeing you up to relax or work on other projects. I’ve set up engaging play stations for families living on multiple acres and families with a 10x10 fenced in patio. I’m excited to come into your home and see how we can partner together in making sure your outdoor space serves your family well for years to come.

  • Many kids have favorite toys and we would NEVER encourage you to get rid of the special things they play with. We will discuss favorite toys at our initial consultation and focus on culling the toys that are broken, missing pieces, never played with or played with once before being banished to no man's land. Most clients are surprised and pleased at how willing their kids are to work together to get rid of the clutter.

  • Sure, go ahead and pick up trash, food, pets, slimy things or anything that looks like a science project. When we have our initial consultation we will choose a place to start and go over any tasks to do and materials to gather before our first session.

  • While we are not a cleaning service, your space will end up refreshed, organized and ready to play.

  • It is impossible to effectively clean or organize your home without dealing with your clutter first. Most of us are blessed with more material goods than we can actually handle, or even enjoy. Dealing with your possessions by  sorting, and donating will make your home look cleaner instantly and VASTLY improve your ability to calm the chaos quickly. Less stuff makes it easy for your kids to be your “keeping it clean” allies.

  • If any of that has worked for you, great! With today's fast paced lifestyle, and especially for families with children, the simple everyday tasks of putting things away often gets neglected. Most of us, myself included, have let  our “I’ll do it tomorrow’s” turn into “ I’ll never get it done now because this pile is so big so I’ll just ignore it and start a new pile somewhere else”.
